Hello from Mumba!!!!!

We flew from Dublin to London where we were greeted by the lovely terminal 4 for seven hours. Fun! I think we walked every square inch of the airport at least twice.... When we checked in though we managed to get emergency exit seats on our longer flight to India. The flight was grand but couldn't sleep mostly due to two crying babies just to our right fun! 

Mumbai has been a huge culture shock to say the least and from what we have seen it is unbelievably dirty, I was prepared for dirty but this was nuts, rubbish just dumped at the side of the street, children covered in muck and shanty towns put up wherever they could fit. The people here are extremely nice and when we visited the gateway to India [ picture ] the police security was quite tight. Indian people loved Sara and just couldn't stop staring, we were asked to pose for pictures with Indian people countless times ( we were like celebrities). 

There were a huge amount of street stalls with men, women & kids begging at every corner. We saw some poor people with leprosy which is shocking to see - it was sad and horrible at the same time.  We walked by a women with a pet monkey on a chain!!!!! I want one! We went to a local tourist hot spot for dinner where there were clearly gun shots fired not long ago as we could see from the bullet holes in the walls and through the glass window. 

So this morning we woke up preparing for our train to Goa only to realise that it was yesterday! Yes it happened again, so we quickly sorted ourselves out and got a cheap flight from Mumbai to Goa this afternoon so not the end of the world (luckily). So we're on our way now. I made friends with a random Catholic Indian Priest at the airport who is on our flight. He keeps trying to sit near me now : )
